Marie and I are on this 42 day cruise, leaving Hong kong on October 27.
Some concerns as Hong kong is still closed for cruise ships

Hi
We are on this cruise from uk and obviously thinking the same. Spoke to Viking and they say we won’t be quarantining in Hong Kong and that the itinerary may change.

Greetings,
Latest from Hong kong: Maybe too late for us

Hong Kong need not copy mainland China’s tough Covid-19 policies as it enjoys wide latitude under the “one country, two systems” principle, the new health minister has said, as he forecast that quarantine-free arrivals with conditions attached could be allowed by November in time for a global bankers summit.

Not good news:

Foot and mouth disease, a highly contagious illness that affects cattle, sheep and pigs, with the potential to shut down meat exports and lead to millions of healthy animals being destroyed, has been confirmed in Bali.

Hong Gai is the seaport for Halong bay.

Hong Gai accept evisa,s according to the official Vietnamese web site.

This would mean we could apply online a very easy process.

Would the ship travel south further than 13 miles 22 km from the coast, if not, the stamp you get in your passport at Halong bay would suffice for the rest of Vietnam, because you would never have left Vietnam.

The visa consultant recommended by Viking says that Vietnam at the moment is not issuing multiple entry visa.

Your comment please

Oh dear. We will be in Bali for a pre extension in Mid-November.
